Lora Lee

Lora LeeOn July 11, 2012, we lost a family member when Lora Lee Jones went to be with our Lord. She was the founder of Marshall County Home Health, and had also served as the Office Manager for Whitesboro/Pilot Point Home Health from 2007 until the time of her death.  She was the adoring mother to our Administrators, Amy and Kim, the beloved sister of Margaret (our A.L.L.Care Director), and the caring mother-in-law to our MCHH Office Manager, Michelle.  To the rest of us, she was as close to family as one can get – always making sure we knew we were loved.  Our hearts are broken and slow to heal, but we truly appreciated the thoughts and prayers of the communities we serve.

Lora Lee was a wonderful wife, proud mother, amazing sister, caring aunt, boastful grandmother & great-grandmother, and trusted friend.  She loved deeply her family, her friends and her Jesus with every ounce of her being, and she left a legacy of which anyone would be proud.

Her four grandkids, Joshua, Kylee, Anna Kate and Christian, as well as her only great-grandchild, Duke, were her greatest joy.  They miss her dearly, as do the rest of her friends and family, including Pete Fox, her husband; her children and their spouses, Greg & Michelle Jones, Kimberly (Kuykendall) & Bill Massingill, and Amy & Chris Goedecke; and also her sister and niece, Margaret and Leigh Anne Goff.

Lora LeeWe will continue to provide care with the same attitude of a family and love that Lora Lee lived out each day. We will do so in honor and memory of her, dedicating this, our 20th year of service (and every year to come), to her memory.  For those of you who had the privilege of meeting Lora Lee, we know she left you with a smile on your face and a feeling that you mattered.

Lora Lee started every day with this prayer – It is how she lived her life.  We would like to share it with you, and challenge you to do the same…

O’ God, for another day,
For another morning,
For another hour,
For another minute,
For another chance to live and serve Thee,
I am truly grateful.
Do Thou this day free me:
From fear of the future;
From anxiety of the morrow;
From bitterness toward anyone;
From cowardice in the face of danger;
From laziness in the face of work;
From failure before opportunity;
From Weakness when Thy power is at hand.
But fill me with:
Love that knows no barrier;
Courage that cannot be shaken;
Faith strong enough for the darkness;
Strength sufficient for my tasks;
Loyalty to Thy kingdom’s goal;
Wisdom to meet life’s complexities
Power to lift men unto Thee.
Be Thee with me for another day
And use me as Thou wilt;
In Christ’s Name, I pray.
Amen.
